Saina Nehwal’s brand value soars five times to Rs 30 lakh per endorsement.
It’s the single largest amount the world’s number three badminton player has received in her career so far — a Rs 25 lakh cash prize from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister K Rosaiah, after she won the Indonesian Open last month.
But Saina Nehwal, 20, is now poised to earn much more per brand association, as the three spectacular championship wins in quick succession has made her the ad world’s new poster girl, displacing tennis star Sania Mirza from the top spot.
Paraguay may have been eliminated from the World Cup by Spain, but their biggest fan is going to reward them for their great effort. Larissa Riquelme made headlines after saying she would streak down the main street in Asuncion naked if Paraguay won the World Cup. But Spain ousted Paraguay 1-0 behind a David Villa goal. So no stripping, right? Wrong.
Riquelme has decided to go through with it anyway. "It will be a present to all of the players, and for all the people in Paraguay to enjoy. They tried as hard as possible and gave it their all on the field.", she said.

Fresh off of their very first World Cup championship, the Spanish National Soccer Team arrived to a heroes welcome at the Madrid airport on Monday (July 12).
With team members including Gerard Pique, Fernando Llorente, David Villa, Andres Iniesta, Xabi Alonso and Iker Casillas all deboarding the plane, the footballers were cheered by airport staffers while heading to awaiting transportation.
From there, the team partook in meetings with the Spanish king and prime minister, while also being treated to an open air bus ride through Madrid's historic center.

Lindsey Vonn (née Kildow, born October 18, 1984) is an alpine ski racer on the U.S. Ski Team. She is the first American woman to win back-to-back overall World Cup championships, which she has done in 2008 and 2009. She has also won World Cup discipline championships in downhill (also back-to-back) and Super G (the first American woman to do so). With 31 World Cup wins in four disciplines (downhill, Super G, slalom and super combined) and two World Championship gold medals (plus two World Championship silver medals), she has become the most successful American woman skier in World Cup history.
